Pronunciation: Lee Juh-heng
Born: 1957, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Education: Department of Chinese, Guangxi University 1976 to 1979. A postgraduate of the Party school and a senior economist.
Career: Early career encompassed a range of prefectural positions in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; transferred to Yunnan in 2006.
Prospects: A member of the 18th CPC Central Committee. Governor of Yunnan since 2012 and promoted to the top job following the removal of Qin Guangrong (an ally of Ling Jihua).
Relevance to Tibet: As Yunnan Province Party Secretary, responsible for large areas of Tibet.



Standing in the Party and Career Highlights:

Member 18th CPC Central Committee. Has a doctorate from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Administration of Agricultural Economy. Joined the Communist Party in 1976 at the age of 19.
